Update on Congo  Churches Project – Yes we did it!

A month ago Bishop Isesomo of Beni Diocese in the DR Congo wrote to me and asked if we could help with completing some of their new churches.  There are many new converts to Jesus there and new churches are opening in this, the poorest country in the world.  He said the need was great 300 sheets of iron at U$10 each would roof 5 churches and U$1500 would glaze the windows of the “cathedral”. In just a month, we have done it, by God’s grace!  Gymea has raised $2300 and Springwood $3650.  Which is by my maths about the amount needed.   This has been sent to Anglican Aid who have secure ways of getting the funds directly to Isesomo who is scrupulous in accounting for every cent.   You helped complete the guest house which is now functioning and providing both hospitality and hard currency funds for the Diocese work of church planting, refugee care, health and schooling.  In the East of DRC the governments does little or nothing and church does it all.  I have known Isesomo for almost 20 years and he is a godly man of great integrity.  What a privilege to be able to partner with him and his church.

Thanks from Bishop Isesomo   –  Sent: Sunday 17 March 2019 5:42 AM

I don’t really know how to express my gratitude to you for this wonderful news about the financial assistance you have raised again to assist us here in North -Kivu diocese.
Thank you very much for your continual generosity and please pass our thanks to everyone who has contributed for this.

I left home this morning to visit Kanyabayonga parish which is 200 km from Butembo and tomorrow we will have a service of confirmation of new believers.
This evening we had an open air evangelism and many people have repented and decided to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord.
Tomorrow I will preach about the 3 principal actors for the salvation  from John 3:16. Thank you once again and God bless you.   Bishop Isesomo
