Community Pantry

As Christians, we are tasked to love, care and support all people, including those in our community who are vulnerable and most in need.

In partnership with Anglicare, an organisation that assists churches to serve our local community, we host a fortnightly mobile food pantry, which provides a wide variety of pantry staples and bathroom essentials to anyone who attends, helping to stretch your budget further.

For $12, you are welcome to fill a bag with groceries with members from Gymea Anglican ready to assist you with access to the pantry. You are also welcome to join us for morning tea afterwards.

The Mobile Community Pantry visits Gymea Anglican Church every second Thursday morning, between 10:30 and 11:30am (except over Christmas and January). For more information, contact our pantry coordinator, Steve Leitch on 02 9524 6225 or office@gymeaanglican.org.au

Acknowledgement Of Country

Gymea Anglican Church acknowledges the triune God, the Creator of heaven and earth and His ownership of all things (Psalm 24:1). We recognise that He gave stewardship of these lands upon which we meet to the First Nations Peoples of this country (Acts 11:26). In His sovereignty, He has allowed other people groups to migrate to these shores. We acknowledge the cultures of our First Nations Peoples and are thankful for the community that we share together now. We pay our respects to Dharawal speaking people who are the traditional custodians of the area now called Gymea, and their elders leaders, both past and present, and those who are rising up to become leaders. We pay our respect to all First Nations People and pray for God’s blessing on all Australians as we seek reconciliation and justice.
